Ankara Medipol University Language School will conduct 1 proficiency exam at the beginning of the every semester.

Exam dates might be changed by the academic committee of the Language School.

Students can take only one proficiency exam held by Ankara Medipol University Language School at the beginning of the academic year. Those who get 75 and above from this exam are exempted from English Preparatory Education.

Starting levels of preparatory students are determined based on the placement test held after the proficiency exam. International exam scores cannot be used to determine the starting level at preparatory education.

Students who do not meet the conditions above are required to take English Preparatory Education, where attendance is mandatory.

All conditions are subject to regulations of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) or Ankara Medipol University Senate and Language School Academic Committee.

  • All announcements with regards to the English Preparatory Programme including exams, class lists and schedules are made on https://ydyo.ankaramedipol.edu.tr/?lang=en . It is the students’ responsibility to follow the announcements. Students are not informed separately via SMS or e-mails.
     
  • Unless the enrolment process is complete, students CANNOT sit in the proficiency exam held by Ankara Medipol University Language School.
     
  • Failing to follow the announcements will not be an excuse and there will not be any make-up for the missing exam or any other form of evaluation.
     

How To Apply old

WHO CAN APPLY

  • If you hold a foreign nationality and have studied high school outside Turkey, you can apply as an international student.

  • If you have graduated from a Turkish High School (Ministry of National Education schools) and have a foreign nationality; be ceased to be a citizen of Turkey and become a citizen of another country, thus have a blue card; have a foreign nationality and become a Turkish citizen (dual citizenship), you can apply as an international student.

  • If you have graduated from an international school in Turkey, you need to have a Turkish residence permit, or if you become a Turkish citizen afterwards, you need to prove this with a register copy.

  • If you are a dual citizen (with Turkish citizenship) and have studied high school years outside of Turkey, you need to submit a transcript of your entire high school education

If you meet the conditions, we will send you an Offer Letter. This letter will state the tuition fee and program information.

If you accept the conditions stated in the offer letter, you need to make the registration payment in order to get the Acceptance Letter (confirmation of acceptance for studies).

The Acceptance Letter will be your final letter stating that you have been accepted to our university. Please note that this letter will be in Turkish.

Registration

Once you have your Acceptance Letter, you can apply for a short-term visa.

After you have your visa and come to Turkey, you need to deliver your documents to the International Office; then, you will have completed your final registration. Following that, you will be able to apply for a student residence permit.

You need to make an appointment for the residence permit. You need to deliver the documents that the Immigration Office requests to the International Office as well after you have made your appointment. The International Office will submit the documents on behalf of you for the student residence permit for you.   • Candidates who got 60 out of 100 in the University Entrance Examination for Foreign Students (YÖS), held by the universities in Turkey.

  • Candidates who have a high school diploma with a 60 GPA out of 100.

  • Candidates who have received at least 4 points on ABITUR.

  • Candidates who have a total score of at least 1000 on the SAT1 exam (valid for two years)

  • Candidates who have an Iran high school diploma (Diplome Debirestan) and Pişdaneşgahi with a grade of 15 for International School of Medicine, School of Medicine and School of Dentistry, 12 for the other programs.

  • Candidates who have received at least 12 (for International School of Medicine, School of Medicine and School of Dentistry) and 10 (for the other programs) on the Baccalaureate exam (countries such as France, Lebanon, Benin, Burkina Faso, Chad, Cameroon, Cambodia, Togo, Gabon, Central African Republic, Djibouti, Mauritania, Mali, Madagascar, Algeria, Tunisia, Morocco, Guinea).

  • Candidates who have at least three A levels on the GCE exams.

  • Candidates who have at least 22 (for the International School of Medicine, School of Medicine, Dentistry and, Pharmacy) and at least 20 (for other programs) on the ACT (American College Test).

  • Candidates who have an International Baccalaureate diploma with a grade of at least 30.

1) Annual Tuitions

– We aim to be the only university among the other universities in Turkey, which provides the most scholarship opportunities to international students and creates a diverse environment by the opportunities given during the registration period.

– The tuition fee is determined by the university’s board of trustees by adhering to the decisions of the council of ministers of the relevant year for each academic year and announced on the university website. Only the information on our website is valid. Please do not rely on information from third parties.

2020-2021 academic year tuition fees and scholarship amounts were determined by the Council of Higher Education’s decision and the board of trustees of our university.

– Every student whose application is approved is supported by our team through the scholarship process.

– Students applying directly or via an intermediary institution to university cannot be charged for their application.

-Scholarships and discounts will be valid in the language preparation school for the students who cannot meet the language proficiency requirement and are obliged to study the language program.

During the Payment Process;

  1. The prepayment discount is 10%. After other discounts are implemented for the tuition, a prepayment discount is implemented to the result. The final result after all the discounts is the annual tuition of the relevant year.
  2. Scholarship and discounts are implemented after the student brings all the papers, proving that the student has the right to scholarship/discount.
  3. Students who want to benefit from the prepayment discount should complete their payment during the registration payment period or until the stayed time in the offer letter.
  4. Students will not benefit from prepayment after the announced date.
  5. Students who make the registration payment on time will receive their acceptance letter and have a place reserved in the departments they applied for.
  6. Students can make the payment in two instalments. The student’s access will be restricted in case of delays in the payment for the second term instalment.
  7. Students must make the payment to the bank account stated in their offer letters.
  8. Students who do not make the payment determined by the university will not be able to select courses.

*There is an additional 10% discount for each sibling who will study at our university.

Graduate School of Engineering and Natural Sciences

Graduate School of Engineering and National Science have been established to contribute to the scientific world at the national and international level through its graduate programs that aim to provide its students with the necessary knowledge in their fields of study, to conduct independent research and to create a unique and high-level work. Only MS applicant can take the university proficiency exam if they don’t have a valid TOEFL-IBT results.  If international applicants apply for a Turkish program, they have to submit a TOMER certificate. (Turkish proficiency certification).

STUDENT TRANSPORTATION CARD (ISTANBUL CARD)

Istanbul Card is a contactless smartcard designed to be used on the vehicles of Istanbul. You can use this card on every public transportation. We recommend you get one of these cards to ease your travels and pay less.

You can apply online, or you can visit one of the Istanbul Card Application Centre. You need your residence card/passport, a student certificate, and a passport photo. After you get your Istanbul Card, you can top up and pay as you go or you can top up a discounted monthly travel card, which gives you 200 travels in a month for 50TRY.

A new law will be implemented in Turkey that states that your Istanbul kart has to be connected with your HES code in order to be able to use public transportations. The law will be implemented as soon as 15/1/2021.

How can I use my student id card as a debit card? (Param Card)

Param Card is an electronic money account which belongs to TURK Elektronik Para Inc. Param Card which you can make a deposit and is valid in regular and online shopping.

You can create a password on the application and with the same password, you can make transactions. Once your account is active, you can use the card as a debit card. Campus Card

ORDERING A REPLACEMENT ID CARD

You can order a new card if your details changed or your card is lost, stolen, damaged. You need to follow the steps below to order a new card.

  • Pay the 25₺ fee to Türkiye Halk Bankası (account number: 0896 – 16000016) stating that the payment is for “ID Card Renewal” in the description.
  • Send the receipt of the payment to [email protected] with your name, surname and T.R. ID or foreigner ID number.
  • Request a STUDENT CARD on the document request section on MEBIS.
  • State the place you wish to collect the card. (Kavacık North Campus, Kavacık South Campus, Unkapanı Haliç Campus, Esenler Campus)
  • Once the request status is ready on MEBIS, you can collect the card from the Department of Information Technologies. Please remember that you need to sign a document while collecting the card.
